Sr. Ann was a compassionate confidante while I was a student at Emmanuel College and became a wonderful friend when college was done. Sr. Ann attended many, many of my Christmas parties where her positive energy lit up the room. All the former grads present were always so happy to see her. My family was very fond of her. Sr. Ann was one of the kindest people I have ever known and I will miss her greatly. Sr. Ann was truly a shining example of God's love on earth.
Sincerely, Melissa Daley

My deepest sympathy to Sister Ann's family. She was an incredible person that influenced my life at St. Joseph's High School when she was my teacher in 1964 & 1965. May your happy face be with the angels in heaven.

Sister Ann was my homeroom teacher at St. Joseph's Girl's High School. She was an inspiration and a great help to me. When I decided to get married instead of going to nursing school (none of which accepted married students), she was very concerned about my lack of office skills. She offered to teach me to type and ultimately got me a job with the phone company. I'll remember her always as a kind, loving and funny teacher who didn't let us get away with anything.

To Sr. Ann's family, I am so sorry to hear about Sr. Ann. I have wonderful memories of her at St. Joe's in Somerville. She was a wonderful teacher and mentor to all her students. Her smile would light up the classroom. May she rest in the Peace of the Lord.- LAUREN THOMAS GRAY of BRAINTREE, MA

Sister Ann Rachel was able to connect with students as few are. she was my Deanof Students while I was at Emmanuel in the sixties and her job was not easy. She treated everyone with warmth, kindness, common sense and grace. Thank you, Sister Ann Rachel. You were a great example and I valued you greatly.

To the family of Sister Ann Rachel,
I have many, many, fond memories of Sister Ann Rachel from my years at Emmanuel College. She was the kindest and most compassionate person I grew to love at the school with her beautiful smile, constant wit and her love of faith and God was absolutely wonderful and inspiring. May she rest in peace and please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.Thank you for sharing her with us.
