DAWN LINDSTROM Obituary
Dawn was born January 6, 1965 in Putnam, CT and spent the majority of her life in the Webster and Dudley area. She graduated from Bartlett High School and then attended Fisher Junior College in Boston, where she studied Fashion Merchandising and became a very successful account executive for Estee Lauder. Dawn and her husband owned and operated RCA Optical in Webster where Dawn worked for nearly 25 years.
Dawn is survived by her loving husband Christopher; and her amazing children Ryan Dugan, Christopher and his fiancee Madison Snyder, Alec, Ingrid, Annaka and Eda. She also leaves her mother Geraldine (Wade) Grzyb and her husband David of Dudley; her father Robert Laurens and his wife Teresa of Woodstock, CT; sister Robin Laurens and her fiance Peter Lamarine of Southbridge; stepsisters Abigail Gonyea of Woodstock, CT, Teresita Taoubi of Glendale, NY, and Jennifer Bretton Lebel of Yarmouth, ME; and numerous aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces and nephews.
Everywhere that Dawn went she was surrounded by her family, friends, and beloved pets. She had a smile that could light up any room and had a unique way of making everyone feel special and loved in her presence. She was passionate about scrapbooking, baking, fashion, talk radio and sports. She was deeply guided by her Christian faith. However, the role she cherished most was being a mother. She was truly happiest when she was in the stands or on the sidelines cheering on her beloved children in all their endeavors. Dawn's spirit and love of life will continue to shine and endure through her children and all who knew and loved her.
Calling Hours will be held at Bartel Funeral Home, 33 Schofield Avenue, DUDLEY, MA on Monday, January 3, 2022 from 3:00 - 7:00 pm; a Catholic Funeral Mass will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 18 East Main Street, Webster, MA on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 11:00 am. The Burial Service will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to a fund in Dawn's memory that will be established at a later date. #LindstromStrong www.bartelfuneralhome.com

I was blessed to meet Dawn on my first day of chemod. My sister's and I were so apprehensive. Dawn must of heard us and suddenly walked behind the curtain to introduce herself. She had a warm smile and very compassionate eyes. She helped to alleviate our fears and I don't think she ever knew what her empathy meant to me and my family. I can't help how many other cancer patients her warm smile and compassion helped. I've often heard the saying "it's an I'll wind that doesn't blow some good" This saying definately applies to the impact your mom had on me and I'm sure many others. God bless you all and I truly am sorry for your loss.

My sisters and I had the pleasure of meeting Dawn and her family in the infusion center at UMass Hospital while my younger sister was undergoing cancer treatments. Dawn and her son Chris were in the treatment room adjacent to us and their upbeat fun loving attitude made our initial visit so much less scary. We visited Dawn and a family member at all our subsequent visits. Although we only knew her for a short time, the strength of her character and her love for her family filled us with hope and optimism. We were enriched by our brief acquaintance, so we can only imagine the depth of your sadness by the absence of her in your lives. Sorry this is so late, but we just learned of her passing today.
