DIANA M. PRIFT

1935 - 2015

PRIFT, Diana M. Of Jamaica Plain, passed away peacefully early Friday morning April 10th, 2015 at the Sherrill House in Jamaica Plain at the age of 79. Beloved daughter of the late Dr. Nicholas and Pauline (Lazar) Prift and dear sister of the late Lawrence Prift. Born on August 14, 1935 in Boston, Diana was a lifelong resident of the Jamaica Plain section of Boston. She was a graduate of Girls Latin High School with the Class of 1953 and furthered her education at Emmanuel College and Harvard University. Diana was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as Assistant Clerk Magistrate at Suffolk Superior Criminal Court, she worked at the court house in Boston for 54 years. She was devoted to her faith, and her Albanian heritage. Diana was active in the Albanian American National Organization, The Albanian Radio Program and an active member at St. George Cathedral. She enjoyed photography, and was an avid reader who enjoyed the arts and visiting local museums and going to the symphony. Diana is survived by her loving uncle, aunt, many cherished cousins and numerous dear friends. Funeral Services will be at the St. George Albanian Orthodox Cathedral Church, 523 East Broadway, SOUTH BOSTON, on Saturday, April 18th at 10:00 a.m. Relatives & friends invited. Visiting Hours will be held at the church prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Interment, Forest Hills Cemetery.
