DONALD SWEENEY Obituary

SWEENEY, Donald Nickerson Age 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 5, 2024. He was born on June 30, 1935, in Presque Isle, Maine. Don was a 1953 graduate of Gould Academy in Bethel, Maine. Don served in the United States Army, Army Security Agency, from 1954-1956. After the Army, Don received his BA in History and Government from the University of Maine, Orono. He graduated with Highest Distinction. In 1963, Don graduated from Harvard Law School and became a member of the Massachusetts Bar. He went on to practice law for many years. Don was the loving husband of Patricia Marie Sweeney; father of Caryn Ann Sweeney, Donald Nickerson Sweeney, III, Barbara Lynn (Sweeney) Hall and his stepdaughter, Deborah Lynn Pierce; as well as a grandfather and great-grandfather.
