Kathleen and Paul Dowen

February 26, 2011

Kathleen and Paul Dowen, Andrew and Jessica...We are neighbors on Robbins Street. Emile was the very first person Kathleen spoke to when we were looking at the house. When he spoke to Dorothy that day he said "I met the new neighbors"! ha we had not even decided yet.. he just knew and he was correct. We enjoyed his friendship for 17 years along with Dorothy. We enjoyed St Patty Day parties with kereokee, many pig roasts, dinners at our home both in Acton and Concord. Always a wave whenever he saw us and always a pleasure when we would see him walking for miles and miles all over Acton! He would come back from Foxwood and always share his prizes with Drew and Jessica..Holloween candy Easter Bunnies Christmas Teddy bears whatever came in the giant basket.. the Dowen kids got from Dorothy and Emile. This was one of the first February vacations that we did not stay at their tiny cottage in the woods! Emile never minded if we burned a ton of wood and neither of them would ever let us pay for it! He liked my strawberry rubarb pies and any pie I made! He is a lovely man and we were honored to know him. He will be greatly missed in our neighborhood. St. Ann De Bopray sp? will be first to greet him in heaven..he is happy to be French! We love you Emile rest in peace with our Lord- And Dorothy you are a cherished friend and we send our heart felt sympathy to you and the entire Genest family <3 always, The Dowen Family 66 Macarthur Rd Concord, Ma. 01742
