Dear Family of Jim,
Thank you today for a very moving tribute and service. There were so many things we didn't know about Jim and we enjoyed hearing the stories. He became our friend at the Cape Playhouse in the early 90s and we would meet on Wednesday afternoons in the Green Room and ask the actors for autographs. We went together on outings to take photos of ship paintings and historical portraits. In later years, we started collecting the state quarters and exchanged Ds and Ps. We're happy that we visited him this past winter at Liberty Commons. Although we never met any of his family, there was never a time he didn't talk about you! He would mention gatherings, Thanksgiving dinners, trips with his sister, his nephew who lived down the road, etc. He was proud to have so many nieces and nephews and always spoke lovingly of his family (and his sweetheart dogs too). God bless you all. Our deepest sympathy. Know you'll miss this incredible brother and uncle.

Dear Janet and family,
I am so sorry to learn of Jim's passing. He was my own personal historian, helping me on several occasions with my Native American ancestery. It was always a pleasure to see him walk into Old South Church. We always had good conversations. We were talking about my ancestry and I was telling him about a book titled BOURNEDALE THE FORGOTTEN VILLAGE, he stated that he would like to see it. The next time he came in I had the book to give him.
I will miss him
