Dear Mrs. Roscoe and family,
I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Roscoe's passing. I remember him at the Diamond Island gatherings, the fun we had, the camp he loved... I still think of it as "the Roscoe place" up on the hill. I will keep him--and you--in my thought and heart during this most difficult time. In sympathy and friendship, Cindy Spencer

I was very sorry to hear about Mr Roscoe's passing. He was a great neighbor who put up with our basketball court across the street from his house!
My condolences to Loretta, Greg and Andrew.

We were very fortunate to have had Harvey as a favorite neighbor when we resided in Acton. He was always a true gentleman, and we have very happy memories of his sharing his sailboat with us in Maine, and his quiet and capable demeaanor in his many accomplishments. Our deepest sympathy is extended to Loretta and all of the family.

I, among so many others, will always remember Harvey (Mr. Roscoe to us boys) who served as the Scoutmaster of Troop 11 in Acton.
I recall one evening when he patiently quized me on my rather novice map reading skills - he was trying to help me to interpret a topographic map and I was having a difficult time comprehending that the railroad tracks probably passed through a tunnel in the hill rather than going up and over it.
He took us hiking and camping and it had a profound influence upon my future endeavors.
At one Wednesday night Troop meeting, he was brave enough to produce a guitar and lead us in song in the basement of the Baptist church. I believe that our favorite songs were "Pink Pajamas" and "In Derby Town" although Harvey seemed to prefer "The Happy Wanderer" to those.
I hope that this brings a smile to his face as he waits for us to join him around the everlasting campfire. His spirit lives on.

While I did not have the honor of meeting Mr. Roscoe personally, I do have the honor of knowing his family, especially his son, Andy. Any man with the love and support of Andy's mom, Loretta that can raise a family like theirs is cause for celebration. May we all be so lucky.

Our deepest sympathies. If only words could really be of help. Your grief can be no less great than the very special person that was so admired, respected and loved. Harvey was a perfect example of the Greatest Generation. May all your wonderful memories carry you through this trying time.

Harvey was a terrific brother in law, yet very private. He was always very quite, calm and collective or at least when I was around. We will always treasure the many happy memories up in Acton to celebrate the Holiday's, Harvey carving the turkey's and the many birthday parties.
Other special times were spent at the island on Lake Winnipesaukee. I will always remember just lying in the bunk bed covered with blankets from the cold and hearing the acorns hitting the roof and then rolling off to the side. It was otherwise very quite in the morning hours until you heard Harvey breaking the silence of the morning with his early morning dunk/splash into the lake from the boat dock. It was now time for everyone to get up and about. He also enjoyed just paddling around the island and stopping in front of one of the other cottagees just to say hello. Harvey was truly in his element at the lake and I thank him for making me part of the family.
