BERGER, Irene Beverly It's with astounding sadness that we share the news of the peaceful passing of Beverly Berger, on Sunday, July 13, 2025, after battling cancer. She was 93. Beverly was born in Boston, MA, to Alfred and Celia Hambro, on January 16, 1932 and later moved to Mattapan with Alfred, Celia and her brother, Jason (Jack). Beverly attended Mount Ida College and received an associate's degree in aviation. Beverly was married on September 17, 1952, to David Berger, who was also born in Boston. After supporting her husband while he was in the service, stationed in Utah for two years, they then resided in Sharon, to raise their family. Beverly was a loving mother to sons: Gary, Richard and Steve and was an amazing mother-in-law to Mary. She was cherished by her grandchildren, Samantha, Katie, James and Amanda. She was blessed with great-grandchildren, Lincoln and Sebastian. Beverly couldn't wait to be a Gigi and she was so happy to have experienced the joy of having great-grandchildren. Not only was Beverly an exceptional wife, mother, nana/grandmother and Gigi; she loved to read, play cards, travel, attend weekly water aerobics classes and have coffee with her friends. Her favorite pastime was playing Mahjong with her friends, as often and as many hours as she could. Beverly was so kind, generous, thoughtful and always put others' needs in front of her own. When looking through years of photos, it was very hard to find a picture of Beverly alone, as she was always surrounded by dear friends and family. She touched so many lives and will be truly missed by all who knew her. Beverly's Service will be held at Schlossberg Family's Chapel on the Hill, 824 Washington St., CANTON, MA, on Sunday, July 20, at 11:00am, followed by the interment at Hand & Hand Cemetery, 2690 Centre Street, West Roxbury. The family will be sitting Shiva immediately following, at the home of David Berger of Sharon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to one of the following charities that meant so much to her:
Alzheimer's Association,
American Cancer Society or Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence, 10 Green Way, Wayland MA. Schlossberg Chapel on the Hill "Family Owned" 781.828.6990
