AIMONE, James Henry, Jr. "Jamie" Age 73, died on January 9, 2014 at the Beth Israel Deaconess-Plymouth Hospital in Plymouth after a prolonged battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. He was the devoted husband of 50 years to Jean M. (Lenardson) Aimone of Plymouth. Born in Franklin, MA on February 9th, 1940, Mr. Aimone was a son of the late James Henry and Marguerite (McDermott) Aimone, Sr. He was educated in Franklin, MA and was a graduate of Franklin High School, Class of 1958. Mr. Aimone served as Executive Vice President of Clark-Cutler-McDermott, Co., a textile business started by his grandfather in 1911 located in Franklin, MA. He was a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers and frequently spoke at symposiums on automotive acoustics. Jamie was a life long summer resident of Plymouth until he and his family moved to Plymouth permanently in 1978. From 1984-1993 Jamie served on the Board of Directors at the Jordan Hospital. He was a communicant of St. Marys Church in North Plymouth. He was an active member of the Plymouth Yacht Club and Eel River Beach Club where he was as a past President. As a co-owner and Corporate Secretary of the Rye Tavern, he was passionate about the restaurant and enjoyed spending his time there. Throughout his life he remained active and enjoyed traveling, boating, skiing and golfing. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends and most of all he loved spending time with his 3 grandchildren. Besides leaving his wife Jean, Jamie was the loving father of James H, Aimone, III and his wife Deborah of Plymouth, and T. Mark Aimone and his wife Megan of Marion, MA. To the Aimone family...Nora and I have you in our thoughts and prayers. Even though there were only a few occasions we were able to spend with Jaime on our trips back east, he always made us feel welcome in his home. Heaven truly has an angel to look down on all of us..

To the Aimone family:
I was very saddened to learn of Jamie's passing. He and John were good friends at the Eel River Beach Club so many years ago, when I had the honor to meet their parents. I was glad to see that Jamie made Plymouth his home. I miss the days when we were young teens. I wish I had gotten the opportunity to see him again. Please give my best wishes to John.
