Bill and Christine Noun

January 28, 2008

My husband Bill and I just learned of Joe's passing today; our deepest sympathy to his family. He was one of the greatest people we ever met. We can still hear him; he was a kind caring man who cared deeply for every one he met.He made us feel that our family was like family to him. He will be deeply missed by our family and I'm sure by everyone who ever met him

Like many others, we knew Joe for many years as he took care of our insurance needs. His compassion, help, and humor as we struggled with those teenage driving years and his unrelenting advocating for us with claim issues and policy changes were always intiated by Joe. He was a friend. The world will miss him.
Our sincerest sympathy to his family and his office family....we will keep you in our prayers.

I WAS DEEPLY SADDENED TO HEAR OF JOE'S ILLNESS A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO. IT SEEMS WE JUST HEARD THE NEWS THAT HE WAS ILL AND TODAY I PICKED UP THE DEDHAM TIMES AND READ OF HIS PASSING. WHAT I WOULDN'T GIVE FOR JUST ONE MORE OF JOES BIG BEAR HUGS, TO HEAR HIS VOICE OR SEE HIS BIG SMILE. I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT HE IS GONE, HE HAS BEEN SUCH A FRIEND OVER THE YEARS. I WALKED INTO HIS OFFICE SOME 25 YEARS AGO AND HE INSTANTLY BECAME FAMILY. WE HAD SO MUCH IN COMMON AND HE WAS BRILLIANT WHEN IT CAME TO THE INSURANCE GAME. HE ALWAYS KNEW WHAT TO DO AND HOW TO DO IT. WHEN MY HUSBAND RETIRED LAST YEAR AND HE CALLED JOE TO LET HIM KNOW THAT WE HAD JUST BOUGHT A FIFTH WHEEL TRAILER AND A BIG F550 DIESEL TO PULL IT WITH, HE HESITATED FOR A MINUTE AND THEN SAID DON'T WORRY, THIS WILL BE MY FIRST TIME INSURING A TRAVEL TRAILER BUT WE WILL GET THROUGH IT TOGETHER AND WE DID. WHEN MY HUSBAND WENT IN TO PICK UP THE PAPER WORK, JOE SHOOK HIS HAND AND PUT A HUNDRED DOLLAR BILL IN IT AND SAID "LET ME BUY YOUR FIRST TANK OF GAS" AND WE HAD 3 TANKS !
HE WISHED US A HAPPY RETIREMENT AND SAID " YOU'RE LIVING THE DREAM" BE CAREFUL OUT THERE AND CALL ME IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS. AND WE DID, AND JOE TOOK CARE OF THEM. HE WAS JUST THE GREATEST GUY IN THE WORLD, AND GOD MUST HAVE HAD A PLAN FOR HIM TO TAKE HIM FROM US SO SOON.
PLEASE ACCEPT OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY AND HEARTFELT CONDOLENCES FOR YOUR LOSS. THANK YOU FOR SHARING JOE WITH US FOR THE LAST 25 YEARS, HE WAS A HAPPILY MARRIED MAN AND A VERY PROUD FATHER AND A GOOD FRIEND TO ALL WHO WERE BLESSED TO KNOW HIM.
UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN, REST IN PEACE JOE. WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU.

To the Mascia Family,

You Dad and husband was the best. Any insurance questions we had, we called Joe. The question we asked each other was " what did Joe reccommend" and then that is what we did. I will never forget his incredible memory, love of life, love for and pride in his children's successes through the years and his love of his wife. Joe was the ultimate family man. We were blessed to be part of his insurance family. We were lucky to know him and have him look after our interests.

as will everyone who crossed his path.

To the Mascia Family,
I, too, knew Joe via Service First. Several years after my first meeting with Joe, I bumped into him at Costco. He instantly recognized me and introduced me to his wife by name. My father was with me and was stunned when I told him that was my "Insurance Man" . I recently moved back into the area and went right back to Joe...He welcomed me back with a big box of candy, four accident packets and several huge hugs...I am deeply saddened by his passing.

Dear Mascia Family,
We would like to extend our sincere sympathy to you. Joe has been our insurance agent since he started Service First. He was truly a gentleman. He would always go above and beyond to help us out. He loved his family. He would often talk about his wife and children. We were truly blessed to have a friend in Joe. We are sorry we did not attend his services as I was just looking through the globe and saw his death notice. May his memory be eternal in your hearts. We will miss him. God Bless You and your family today and always.

To the Mascia Family,

Joe Jr. was the "insurance man" for our family as was his Dad before him. He was a wonderful wonderful man, who loved to talk, and share stories about family and friends. He was very proud of his wife and her devotion to people in need as well as his children. He shared stories w/me after the sudden loss of both my parents. God Bless you Joe; your family has many wonderful memories.

To the Mascia Family,
We are deeply saddened to hear of Joe’s passing. My husband and I have known Joe for over 20 years as our “Insurance Man” and we considered him also a friend. It has been a pleasure knowing Joe. He was a fine man. In all the time we have known him, he always asked about our family first and then went on to proudly tell us about his. He always spoke lovingly of you Therese, saying “My wife, God Bless her, I don’t know how she puts up with me, but I’m the luckiest man in the world”; and he spoke often so proudly and lovingly of his children as well. We feel like we knew your family. Joe was that kind of guy. To know Joe, was to love Joe. He never hung up the phone without at least 2 or 3 “God Bless You’s”. He was honest, gave it to you straight and helped you out in hard times. He was a “Good Joe”. He will be missed. We are very sorry for your loss. May Joe rest in peace and “God Bless”.

With Deepest Sympathy,

Christine McGuiggan

To the Mascia Family:

I am so sorry for your loss. I will always remember Joe not only as the best insurance agent around but as a caring and thoughtful person who always made you feel like you were getting a big hug from him just when he said hello to you over the telephone.

One of my favorite memories of Joe is a conversation I had with him over the phone a couple of years back (and those who knew him well knew that it was a long conversation). After a while, I made the mistake of telling him I had to get off the phone because I was getting into some serious traffic and needed to concentrate on the road - he scolded me for talking on my cell phone while driving...and then preceded to warn me of the dangers of doing just that...for another 10 minutes or so!

Joe will be greatly missed; I hope fond memories help ease the pain of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I 've had the privelege of knowing Joe for the past 16 years or so thru Service First. I always looked forward to his great insight and lectures and had learned much from him. He was a generous man to me as I'm sure he was to all, from his lunch he once split with me on a visit to the office to, again, his fatherly advice when I was "new" to the driving scene and throughout my early adult life. You will be missed by many! My sincerest sympathy to the family and co-workers at Service First.

Mr. Mascia was a wonderful friend to my parents Pamela & George. My mother would often speak of him and the words sweet and kind would always follow. My poppie (George) always gives me fatherly advice and at 36 I still need it, He said in life there isn't many people you can call a true friend fortunetly Mr. Mascia was. When I came home to visit in July poppie and I went for a walk and we stopped into the office, Mr. Mascia greeted me with a big smile, kind and comforting words about my mom who also has terminal cancer. He showed me pictures of his kids and told me of the exciting paths their lives were taking. I could see how proud and happy he was, from The day I learned of his illness I have kept him close in my thoughts and in my heart.
My deepest sympathy to all especially his kids
