Dear Mike and family, I was so saddened when I heard about your loss. I always smiled when you and Kevin would kid with each other at the cleaners. You could really see the bond you two shared. It was so obvious to me how much you two loved each other. I always enjoyed our little chats about our sons. Mike, I cannot begin to imagine your family's pain and sorrow at this time. I did not know Kevin personally but I knew of him and how special he was to the people who he surrounded himself with. It is very sad that he had to go at such a young age. I want to send my prayers out to the family and friends of this champion. He was one of a kind...touching so many lives. Anyone who brightened soo many people just by being around, making someone smile just by smiling at them, giving others life and strength even after they are gone...is truly an ANGEL. Hopefully I will have the opportunity to personally meet you when I get there, Ill need someone to make me smile! Fly High while looking low; watch over and guide us. I met you only a few weeks back at the nail shop and you left an impression on me that I will never forget. You are a kind & gentle person and I could have talked to you for hours. What really hit me was the conversation we were having that night about your "boys" and how nice they were. You beamed with pride! I can now see that Kevin was a lot like you . . he left an impression on everyone he met. I cannot imagine that pain you are going through now but, after only meeting you once, I'm sure your strength and memories will see you through these hard times. Kevin will watch over you!

My Cousin Mary,
Seeing the shear sorrow and agony on your face after just seeing your bubbling, perky personality at our Ferrara Family reunion 3 weeks ago has left a mark on me that I won't soon forget. It brought to mind another Mary, who lost her son tragically, a few thousand years ago. Hopefully, your faith, family and friendships will help you get through this tremendously difficult time. Try to take a bit of comfort in knowing that Kevin was a wonderful son and certainly didn't lack for friends as shown by the outpouring at his services. Such a sad time, but you had to feel pride.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Kevin yet his passing has touched me deeply. I have experienced the heartbreak of tragically losing a young friend. The massive outpouring of support at Kevin's visiting hours was a tremendous tribute to him. It literally stopped traffic throughout the town of Walpole. If there is one thing that seems to come up in conversation with everybody, it's that your son had the most amazing magnetic personality and a smile that you couldn't help but be captivated by. So often people walk around campus so caught up in their own lives that they don't even make eye contact with one another, but I can remember passing Kevin so many times and always seeing such a warm welcoming smile. Although I was only an acquaintance, I have heard so many stories of how Kevin was the kind of person who could make you laugh when nothing was funny. ya know its funny the way life is. Kevin and I grew up together and not the best of ways. he didnt treat me all that great but in the end I had to go to the wake tonight. it was tougher than I thought. I broke down. he will always be remembered.
