LAUREN MAHONEY Obituary

MAHONEY, Lauren Lauren, age 58 of Attleboro, Massachusetts, passed away, April 13, 2024, surrounded by her family and loved ones, after a long battle with cancer. She was the loving wife of Terry Mahoney; and incredible mother to both Alissa Mahoney and Jaxsen Lewis. Lauren was born on July 2, 1965 to parents, William and Norma Swan in Boston, Massachusetts. Besides her immediate family, Lauren leaves her mother, Norma Swan and stepfather, George Davis of Bonita Springs, Florida; her brother, David Swan and wife, Joy of Nashua, New Hampshire; sister, Liane Minichiello of North Attleboro; sister, Susan Swan of Plymouth; several nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. She was predeceased in death by her birth father, William Swan; as well as her brother, William Swan; and sister, Carol Swan. A 1983 graduate of North Quincy High School, she attended Massachusetts College of Art and the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She had a long career in Sales Finance at Cisco Systems. She loved animals, especially her dog, Abby, and enjoyed living her life to the fullest. Lauren enjoyed golf and was a longtime member of both Highland Country Club and Pawtucket Country Club, where she met some of her dearest friends. She also was friends for over 20 years with her beloved neighbors, who said she always was the life of the party! She was a kind and compassionate woman whose energy was magnetic and made everyone in her orbit feel like a friend. Lauren had an artistic side you could see when you entered her home. We will miss her dearly but will never forget the wonderful memories she brought to us. Lauren's "Celebration of Life" will be held April 18, from 12 to 4 PM, at Pawtucket Country Club, 900 Armistice Boulevard, Pawtucket, Rhode Island. In lieu of flowers, we suggest friends consider a donation to The Program in Women's Oncology, at Women and Infant's Hospital, focused on Gynecological Cancer Research projects of Dr. Paul DiSilvestro and his incredible team. Contributions can be made, by visiting https://foundation.womenandinfants.org/donatenow and selecting The Howes Research Fund from the designation dropdown. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, ATTLEBORO. As we remember Lauren, we invite you to leave memories and upload photos to her memorial page. Please visit www.duffy-poule.com

Lauren will forever be part of our Cisco family. She was someone who could make you feel better just with her smile and her attitude. Lauren brought a spirit of joyfulness with her every day, no matter how she was feeling otherwise. Our team will forever be better for having had Lauren be part of it and her spirit lives on with us. Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers go out to Terry, Alissa and Jaxsen and all who knew and loved her. Lauren was loved and is missed by her Cisco family.
