Dear David and Bruce,
I am so sorry I am so far away and could not make it to your Dad's funeral. How blessed I feel to have been born into this family where I was fortunate enough to have an Aunt as wonderful as your Mom and an Uncle that just had a way of making me laugh. The most favorite memory of your Dad was memories at Halloween. Every year my brother's and I would wait in anticipation as we walked to Esther Drive from Marilyn Drive each Halloween, and when we finally arrived Uncle Lou would pretend he did not know who the three of us were, when all along he did know but did not give it away. He would then have these marvelous treasures that he would give us that were tricks or jokes that we could use...it was a marvelous memory that I will never forget. I feel so fortunate to have loved him and your mom, and they have an enormous impact even on my life today. Even though the miles seperate us, my memories and love for Uncle Lou and Aunt Marie and our families together are as vivid as ever. My prayers are with you.

Dear David and Bruce,
I am so sorry I am so far away and could not be in Rhode Island. I am deeply saddened by the news of your Dad. I have such wonderful memories of him when I was a child. I will never forget how he made my brothers and I laugh with his practical jokes and how every Halloween we waited in anticipation walking from Marilyn Drive to Esther Drive to see what Uncle Lou had up his sleeve this year!!! He was a wonderful uncle, and he loved your Mom so much. I feel like we have truly lost a piece of our family as we say goodbye to him. He will always live on in my heart and those of my Mom and Dad and my brothers.

Dear David and Bruce,
I am sorry about the loss of your DAD. I wish I could have been there with you both. I do know, that when I saw him in the hospital, I kissed him on the cheek and told him that I loved him. HE told me that if I kissed him again he was going to get out of the bed and beat me up...SO I kissed him one more time. I will always remember what a great man he is. He loved your mom so very much and now he can be with her. God bless him.
