Marlene CARR Obituary
Born in Plainfield, NJ, on November 23,1936, Marlene was the daughter of the late Henry and Anne (O'Keeffe) Hinsenkamp. She was predeceased by her brother, Henry Hinsenkamp, Jr.; and survived by her brother Paul Hinsenkamp.
Marlene was an avid learner - always searching for classes to take, reading books and looking for ways to help others in her community. She worked as a dedicated elementary school teacher for 40 years. Marlene graduated from Holy Trinity High School in Westfield, NJ, and Dunbarton College of the Holy Cross in Washington, D.C.
Marlene is also survived by her two sons, Michael Carr and his wife Rebecca of Norfolk, MA, and Matthew Carr and his wife Kathryn of Wilmington, NC. She was the loving grandmother to Johanna, Maggie, Jagger and Phoenix Carr.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at 10:30am, at St. Mary's Church, 130 South Street, Wrentham, MA. The Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Marlene's love for reading, memorial contributions may be made to The Literacy Center in N. Attleborough, MA (https://www.theliteracycenter.com/donate).

My Aunt Mar was more than an aunt, she was also my Godmother. I admired her in so many ways. She was such a good example of the woman I'd like to be. She shared her faith, travel stories, and book recommendations with me during our many phone chats. She was one of the few people who sent cards for every holiday. She was so proud of her sons and grandchildren and always kept me up-to-date with their accomplishments. She lived a good life and now I'm sure she's happily reuniting with my Grandparents, Dad, and Mom in Heaven.
