MARY LOUISE DOUCETTE

DOUCETTE, Mary Louise (Ridge) 84, of Needham, formerly of Brighton, passed away peacefully on October 28 surrounded by her family. Devoted wife for 61 years to Gerald "Jake" Doucette (retired Lt. BPD). Loving mother of Mary Catherine Gregg & her husband Edward of Pelham NH, Margaret Regan & her husband Christopher of Weymouth MA, Donna Watson & her husband Charles of Bedford NH, Nancy Rodenmacher & her husband William of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Gerald Doucette & his wife Zoila of Winnetka, CA. Sister of John "Jack" Ridge of Needham MA, the late Francis Ridge, and the late Barbara Ridge. Mary Lou is survived by 11 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. Born in Brighton, Mary Lou graduated from St. Columbkille, where she met her future husband Jake. Mary Lou retired to Needham after raising her five children and working 25 years with Verizon. Mary Lou donated her time at the Needham Community Council for a good number of years. She enjoyed spending her winters at Pompano Beach, Florida and cruising to the Caribbean Islands. In her spare time, Mary Lou was an avid bingo player and liked playing the slot machines. She will be deeply missed by her loving family. Funeral from George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave, NEEDHAM on Wednesday at 9 AM, followed by funeral Mass in St. Bartholomew Church in Needham at 10 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
