Matthew GILMOUR Obituary
Matthew was born on July 29, 1987, in Newton. He graduated from the Rensselaer School of Architecture in 2010 and went on to become a licensed architect and a highly respected associate at SmithGroup in Boston.
Matthew was an avid mountain biker and car enthusiast. He will be remembered by all who knew him for his infectious sense of humor and unwavering positivity.
Matthew is survived by his loving wife, Susan Gilmour of Melrose; and was the cherished son of James and Marilyn Brine Gilmour of Holliston. He was the beloved brother of Joshua Gilmour and his wife, Jennifer Jackman; and the adored uncle of Aidan and Axl Gilmour, his godson, all of Blackstone. Matthew is also survived by his uncle, Gary Brine of Gloucester; and his aunt, Jennifer Davis of Plymouth. He will forever be in our hearts.
A gathering in Matthew's memory will be held at McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Avenue, WAKEFIELD, MA 01880, on July 29, 2025, from 4 – 7 PM.

Matt was the very first friend i made at RPI. he was quite the jokester and always left me in stitches at his hijinks. i will always remember him as an intrinsically valuable part of my journey into adulthood. Rest In Power, my friend.
