For as long as I can remember, you have always been more than a great uncle. You took on the role of being a grandfather and my siblings and I will be forever grateful. At every McCourt family party, it wasn't long before your seat became the center of the room, with everyone gathering around to hear your legendary stories and witty jokes. There are not enough words to express our love for you and our thanks for the immeasurable impact you had on our lives. I promise to keep singing "it's my party, cry if I want to" at every family gathering. Tally ho, Mo! May your "siesta" be one of infinite peace, until we meet again, where I promise you yet another "smooch on the cheek" <3 I love you Mo and I will forever miss you.

To a life well lived including the great joy you brought to others. Safe travels!

Gone from my Sight
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side
spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and
starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of
beauty and strength. I stand watch her at length until
she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the
sea and sky come to mingle with each other.

Then someone at my side says:
There, she is gone!
Gone where?

Gone from my sight. That is all. She is just as large in
mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my
side and she is just as able to bear her load of living
freight to her destined port.

Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just
at the moment when someone at my side says:

There, she is gone!

There are other eyes watching her coming,
and other voices ready to take up the glad shout:

Here she comes!

And, that is dying.

To Fr Meade's Family:

Please accept my deepest sympathies. Farther touched so many lives in the many circles he traveled, from his daily workouts at the "Y", the many hospital visits and the parish coverage he did. He truly made a difference. As in the movie "A Wonderful Life," I can see the many differences he made.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

Michael Sullivan
