RALPH SOZIO Obituary
75, of Dedham, formerly of Boston, died September 25, in Los Angeles, CA. The loving father of Lauren & Alessandra, and beloved husband of the late Kathy Chryssicas Sozio. Devoted brother of Vilma Sozio Gallo and his niece, Dina Lisa Gallo. He is also survived by in-laws William & Janet McNeill, Theodore & Mary Kaye Chryssicas, John & Nicole Chryssicas, and all of their children. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if you choose, please make a donation in his name to Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute, where he was given a chance for a heart transplant. I was a graduate student at Harvard and needed a mouthful of amalgam replaced with gold. That was in 1964. Dr. Sozio's work has elicited wonder from every single dentist I have been to since. He was a great guy and a great dentist. His level of artistry is rare and "guys" like him are far and few between

Skip was a bright spot at the USAF base in San Vito dei Normanni. We served together and I was able to help him when his Jag hit a tree. Some other fun times. So saddened to hear (even 8 years late) of his passing.

We have been thinking about your dad since he left to go to have his transplant. Today our greatest fears have come true when we found out that Ralph is now longer with us. We will always remember his smile, the way he made us smile when he brought Monty into the salon every other Weekend, the sense of happiness that he always carried. Lauren, Allesandra and Teddy..I was devastated when my brother told me about your father I was a patient of his for more than twenty years. I absolutely adored him and gave him a big hug when appointments slowed to just twice a year. Í hope you find peace knowing he and your mom are together again.

Lauren and Allessandra,
Just heard about your dad, and was very saddened by the news! Skip was my husbands dearest friend, and best man at our wedding! Hugh would tell me so many funny stories of the Ski Trips to Europe, that he would take with your mom and dad over all those years of fun that they'd shared together! Our deepest sympathy, and prayers go out to you ladies, and hope that you are given the strength you neec to get you through this very difficult time!

Lauren and Allesandra,
I used to fly with your mom and was so sad when I heard about her. We went to Boston a couple of times and spent time with Cathy and Skip. He was a wonderful man. Our thoughts go out to both of you.

I was so saddened to hear of Dr. Sozio's passing. I have been a patient of Dr. Sozio's since 1970 when he crowned all my teeth. I will always remember him for his kind and gentle manner in his practice and how he took my fear of dentistry and changed it completely to a calm and friendly atmosphere. His warmth and concern was equally present in all of his staff as well.

Our hearts hurt as Skip and Cathy were dear friends who shared so
many special times with us.
Fond memories of laughter and the consumption of lots of wine are
ever present in our minds.

I have been in the dental indutry for over 40years. In 1980 when I was getting married Dr. Sozio capped my front teeth. He was a wonderful person as well as a great prosthodontist. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

In the mid 70's, I suddenly needed my front teeth capped. Everyone told me that Dr. Sozio was the guy I needed to see to have the work done. They were right! He did a fabulous job and he and his staff were so nice. A very talented man, may he rest in peace.
