Richard Conley Obituary

CONLEY, Richard F. "Dick" 69, of Woburn, Massachusetts and Bridgton, Maine died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 16, 2009. He was born and raised in Melrose, Massachusetts. Dick attended UMass Amherst and retired after a 20 year career with the MBTA. Most recently, Dick was an electric power engineer at HNTB. Dick had a love for the outdoors, especially in Maine, and he particularly enjoyed skiing. Dick is survived by his children, Lieutenant Katrina Conley, USN of San Diego, California, Richard F. Conley, Jr. and his wife, Indu of Attleboro, Massachusetts and Jennifer Conley and her husband Glenn Burres of Killington, Vermont. He is also survived by his granddaughter Kaitlyn Burres. Funeral from E.E. Burns & Son Funeral Home, 204 Main St., MALDEN, Friday, August 21, 2009 at 8:00am. Funeral Mass in the chapel of the Church of the Sacred Hearts, Malden, at 9:00am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8pm.

Jen, Katrina, my Rick-Rack, I was feeling sad after speaking with your mom this morning. I then heard a voice say, "Yeh, Mary 'T'". Yes your father is the person that emphysised the T in my name, and now you know the rest of the story...I smiled remembering the boy in the brillent man. I will always remember his wit, smile and love for you guys. Please accept my condolence at the passing of your Dad.

To Dick's family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Dick and I worked for many, many years at the MBTA in the Power Improvements Project and many of us retired at the same time. We had so many good times. He will be missed.
