Late to add a memory, but Mr Looney was such a wonderful man. He coached us in CYO basketball at St Peter´s, and took Rick, and his friends seemingly everywhere. Still remember his green station wagon. A true gentleman who I respected greatly. Rick and family, my condolences on the loss of a giant

Dear Loonie Family, my sincere condolences on your loss. I knew Dick from doing BPD police details at the TD Garden. Dick would always stop by my post to check on me and we would have some great conversations. I really enjoyed seeing talking with this gentle man. Dick was so honest, so wise, so humble, he truly loved his job and cared about all who were in attendance.. Dick would walk every square foot of TD Garden repeatedly. I retired a few years ago and hadn´t been in the Garden in many years. I went in there last night and asked about Dick and learned of his recent passing. Rest in eternal peace my old pal and Thank You for being you
