So sorry to hear of your loss. He was a great man..many times we would have long conversations when he would pick me up and drive me to the beach..he will be sorely missed...Mel I'll keep you and your family in my prayers as I know how difficult the loss of a parent is!

I just found this, and am so sorry. He was my Mother and Father's physician, and became mine as well. After I moved north, I continued to keep him as my physician. He was that good. He knew that I had to be very sick in order to come for a visit. I had lost my husband at an early age and had young children at the time with no medical insurance. He would waive the visit, send me to the lab for a test, and call in a prescription. He would stay late every night and personally call you if you needed him. Many years of long days, but what a diagnostician he was! He truly had a feel for his profession. Needless to say, my Mom and I were devastated when he retired. (not that we blamed him.). He had earned a rest, and told us that he had seen others retire and pass very quickly thereafter and didn't want that to happen to him. I have thought of him often throughout the years and wondered how he was. I can see that he enjoyed his retirement surrounded by many family members and friends! I am so glad for that!

I'm so sorry to hear about your father's death.Your dad was such a kind man, and I know you'll miss him. I feel so lucky to have known him . You and your family are in my heart. I admired him as an intelligent, kindhearted man, and I'm so sorry for your loss. I loved seeing your dad at Regis Father & Daughter dances he always lit up the room and was also so caring , especially when he took such incredible care of me when I was so sick in college. Dr. Jeffrey was my grandmother's doctor, my parents' doctor, and my doctor for many years. He saw my family through some of its darkest days with compassion, wisdom, and caring. When I was very ill as a young adult being treated at another hospital, my father called him and asked him for help, and he was in touch with all my doctors and kept my parents informed as to my prognosis. He will always be considered by me as an important part of our family who we could always depend on. My sincere condolences to his family.

I am so sorry to hear of Dr Jeffrey's passing. I had the pleasure of working for Dr Jeffrey at 1 Salem St in the late 70's to mid 80's. Such a gentleman and profoundly intelligent, compassionate doctor. My condolences to his family. May he Rest In Peace.

I had the great privilege of working with Dr. Jeffrey as a nurse in the MWH ER. He was a wonderful and kind man to his patients and staff. He was a pleasure to work with. My deepest sympathy to his family. I am so sorry for your loss.

To Dr. Jeffrey's family,
I have worked with Dr. Jeffrey since the late 60's as a nurse in ICU, ED and eventually ENDO. He was such a knowledgeable, caring and compassionate physician. He embodied the ultimate gentleman. He never complained when we woke him up at the end of an evening shift with a question or concern. If we called from the ED to alert him of a patient, he could instantly tell us their entire medical history including all their medications and allergies. May he Rest In Peace , in the reward he so deserves.

So sorry for your loss. Although I met Russ somewhat recently, I appreciated his humor and his gentle and very loving spirit. His family, esp. his wife, Theresa, were never far from his mind. He often put others' concerns before his own. Everyone would be blessed to have a Dr J in their lives.
