I am so sorry to read of Stan´s passing. May his memory be a blessing. His folks were like second parents to me as my parents were very close with Naomi and Dave. We grew up in the Amalgamated together and in later life spoke to him when I was in Boston. Stan was my first real date when we went to see Witness For The Prosecution on Broadway. We shared so many family memories. My sympathy to Ellen and Mike.

Stan was a gentle giant whose intellect, compassion, and wit will long be remembered by all who knew him.

Stan and I were very close friends. Two Bronx boys who made it in a Harvard world. I enjoyed and respected him more than any other friend. I had the privilege of traveling with him to some of his lectures, often in far away places and exotic environments. I marveled at is ability to speak in front of audiences of hundreds of prominent and accomplished people and hold their interest and attention, inform and entertain, and receive the respect he so richly deserved, an achievement no one else I know had been able to accomplish. He was often uncomfortable being the tallest person in the room and often commented that this world was not designed for people as tall as he, yet he always lived up to being head and shoulders above most anyone else I had the privilege to call my friend. I miss you Stan! Rest In Peace.

We´ve all lost an amazing man. I so enjoyed my special friendship with Stan. We shared so many happy hours talking, exchanging ideas, and enjoying each other´s writing. We met years ago at HILR where I became aware of Stan´s intellectual prowess. He and I shared a lot of laughs and the fun of occasional get togethers with our wives, Bobbi and Ellen. I will miss this special friend.

Stan was a wonderful guy. When I studied his work in business school, little did I know that he would end up as a friend, along with his dear Bobbi and Einstein. Tall, handsome, personable, and brilliant. I think of the two of them every morning. To know Stan was to love him.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Stan (and often Einstein) were regulars at the poker game my husband Maurie Stiefel and I hosted in our house. He and Maurie were good friends. My sincerest condolences

Dear Davis family,
My wife, Anne, and I are deeply saddened by Stan's passing. We were good friends at HILR for many years and regretfully lost contact when we retired a few years ago. Stan was a very good friend and will be sadly missed.
