My deepest condolences for the Buckman family, on the eve of the anniversary of his passing one year ago. Steve made fast friends where ever he went. He was almost always the center of conversation in the morning, and often spoke of his family. I never walked away from Steve without a smile or a laugh no matter what we talked about. Steve was a Legend of linemen, and a great friend. Thanks bucky.

Please allow me to offer my belated condolences to the Buckman family and to Steve's numerous friends and co-workers, all of whom were blessed by his presence. I was associated with the Foxboro garage when I managed the Framingham CMC, during which time I became acquainted with Steve's work ethic, sense of humor and, most importantly, his love and devotion to his family. Thank you, Steve, for your service to Verizon and your empathy towards others. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I have never had the opportunity to meet Steve, but he being a fellow lineman.....his loss cuts deep. From what I have heard, he sounds like he was a great guy. Our deepest sympathy to the entire Buckman Family.

We were stunned to hear of Steve's passing. Bryan thought he had just seen him in Randolph recently. Mary and I always enjoyed talking to him during the Mohawks games or practices when he wasn't coaching. Steve and I knew some of the same people from Roslindale. I knew his brother Paul years ago. Steve was taken too soon, but it's obvious from what we've read that the kids had a real dad while they had him, someone who enjoyed them and the times they had together. You're in our thoughts and prayers.

On behalf of the Buckman family, I would like to thank everybody who stood in the long line at Stephen's wake to offer their condolences. To the IBEW, Locals 2222 and 2325, our sincere thanks for your thoughts, your prayers and, most of all, for your incredible generosity. Also to the entire Verizon family and everybody who has sent cards, flowers, etc. - Thank you.
Everybody's kind wishes and support have helped us through this incredibly sad time for our family. Please keep Stephen's family, Jessica, Tony and Cody in your thoughts and prayers.

Stephen, you were a very special person. Watching you grow up with my brother Freddie over the years, I saw you develop into a hard working, responsible adult, who adored his family and was a true friend to all he knew. I remember watching you kids playing hockey, getting you all out of jams at Westie when I was your teacher and catching the bridal bouquet at your wedding. I looked forward to your occassional visits at our pool to hear what was new in your life and to see new pictures of your children. You were always a Gentleman to me Stephen and I will remember you with Love and deep Admiration. May you rest in eternal peace. You will be missed by all who knew and Loved you.

To Carol and Buckman family. My condolences to all. I was deeply saddened to read about Stephen, he was a good man. Though I have not seen Stephen in a few years I remember the last time talking with him of how proud he was when mentioning his children and family. He always had a big heart and could put a smile on anyone's face. God bless you Stephen.
