STEPHEN FRANCIS MCCARTHY

McCARTHY, Stephen Francis "Stevie" Jr. Age 30, originally of South Boston, most recently of the Dallas - Fort Worth area and Hubbard, Texas, passed away June 19, 2022. Stephen is survived by the loves of his life, Allie Coleman and their daughter, Blake Marie Coleman McCarthy. He was the beloved son of Stephen and Janice (Madden) McCarthy; brother of Rebecca and Kathleen McCarthy; and grandson of Nora Marie Madden. Stephen was also loved by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Stephen was predeceased by his loving grandparents, Helen and Francis McCarthy and Patrick Joseph Madden, Jr. Sadly the illness of addiction that stole so many years of Stephen's time with us, took his life. His family and friends in and out of the recovery community will remember him for his charming, loving, comedic personality. At every step of his short life, Stephen made an impression that was everlasting. He was our beautiful boy and always had an infectious smile. Stephen is now at peace and no longer in pain. He will be deeply missed by all. We will cherish the good memories. Visitation in the O'Brien Funeral Home, 146 Dorchester St., SOUTH BOSTON, on Friday, July 8th from 4-8pm. Funeral Mass in St. Brigid Church, 841 East Broadway, South Boston, on Saturday, July 9th at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
