Although it has been close to 60 years since we had any contact, I grew up with Steve as one of my best friends along with Mark Varon and Steve Witt. We were inseparable for years. I have fond memories of Steve´s parents Doris and Ruby finding myself in their fruit store almost everyday on the path from PS 70 to my home. My belated condolences and hope you and your loved ones continue holding on to fond memories of a great guy.

I just happened upon this notice of Steve's passing. Steve and I worked together at almost all of his endeavors including his stays at Otari, Lexicon, Waves, and others. We were tightly connected in both business and social spheres until his last battles with dementia, when I lost touch with him. It's with much sadness that I come late to the knowledge of his passing. My wife Lindy and I extend our deepest sympathy to the Krampf family. Steve was a kind and forgiving friend, not to mention extremely competent in his field. Fair winds and following seas, old friend. You are missed but not forgotten.

I am very sorry to learn of Steve´s passing. We were audio friends/colleagues a million years ago when Steve was with Otari. A great guy, very smart. A lot of fun. Godspeed Steve.
