SYLVIA VENA Obituary
She is the daughter of the late Venanzio and Agatha Giannangelo of Hyde Park, MA. She was predeceased by her loving husband Raphael Vena and siblings Louis, Eleanor, Joseph, Vincent, Clementina, Dominic and Elsie.
She is survived by her loving daughters Deborah Gabes and husband Tim, Ann Marie Baron and husband Andrew, and Joanne Vena, grandchildren Aaron VanHuysen and wife Casey, George Baron, Rachael Baron, and Jack Baron, great-granddaughters Madyson and Victoria VanHuysen. Siblings Grace and Leo Giannangelo.
She was a loving aunt of many nieces and nephews and will be missed by many friends. Sylvia was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening and quilting. She adored her grandchildren and great-granddaughters. They brought her so much joy and happiness!
She was a spirited & spunky resident at Prairie Elder Care Farmstead. Her laughter and humor were contagious. She was loved by many caregivers, nurses, and staff.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Christ the King Church, 3 Job's Fishing Road, Mashpee on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 11:00 am. Viewing at Chapman, Cole, and Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave. (off Rt.151) in MASHPEE, from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery in Boston. Always said how lucky I was growing up with the Giannangelos especially Aunt Sylvia who lived on the first floor where I lived. She was an Aunt like all my aunts and uncles in Hyde Park who loved their young ones. We all miss you Aunt Sylvia.

1479 Hyde park ave was a special place for me growing up. Aunt Sylvia who lived on the first floor was a loving, intelligent and caring aunt. She was a beautiful person like all her siblings, nephews and nieces. I will always remember her in my thoughts and prayers.
