Walter William Unger

UNGER, Walter William "Bill" Of Peabody, formerly of Melrose, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 6, at his home. Bill was the beloved husband of Dorothy Jillett Unger for 62 years & the loving father of Gale Unger of Beverly & Carol (Unger) Segar & her husband David of Duxbury. He was a devoted & cherished grandfather to Stephanie & Amanda Segar. Born in Melrose in 1925,he attended Melrose High School. When the war broke out he joined the Army Air Corps & served as a navigator. Bill spent his entire professional career 39 years, with the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Bill will be laid to rest in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose during a private graveside service.
