I am so saddened to read of Kevin's death. Kevin took me under his wing the winter semester of 1981. I was through the early stages of bipolar illness and he was a safe, kind compassionate friend. I remember his room was filled to the ceiling with books but this made time for me to talk to, to play handball with and to be a special witness to loving one another. I will never forget Kevin and his loving heart D miller Columbus, Ohio

My thoughts and prayers go out to Father's family, friends and Jesuit community at this time. I fondly remember Father's enthusiasm for life that he shared with us, especially stories of his family, his mother and his time in Amman, Jordan. I recently viewed an exhibit in NY of Syrian Refugees now living in Amman and immediately thought of Father Kevin...and all his good work there through the years! I will continue to keep Father and his family in my prayers.

My prayers of healing love go out to you all! He was gift in my life and I am grateful for having known him. He used to celebrate special parlor Masses for a group of our Residents at Elizabeth Seton Residence when he came home from Jordan on vacations. We will all miss him!

Rev. O'Connell the most wonderful, caring Jesuit that ever was... in addition to being the President of Lemoyne College once upon a time in history.. Beloved by the students and the staff never to be never forgotten.

Fr. Kevin married my husband and I in July of 1989--his first marriage ceremony, I believe. We always joked about what a great job he had done, since we've been together for so long. He will be missed.
