Dave - I know we lost contact over the years but you will still be sorely missed. I didn't find out about your passing until the 28th and what was odd about finding out was that on Saturday the 25th I had said to my husband "I haven't talked to Dave in really long time - I should call him this week".

To all his family my thoughts are with you.

Some people come into our lives and quickly go but there are a few special people who stay for a while, leave footprints on our hearts and we are never ever the same. Zelmo, you are one of those rare individuals who left footprints on everyone's heart you came in contact with. Please know you have a special place in all of our hearts. Remember, to always say what you mean. Don't be affraid to express yourself. Reach out and tell someone what they mean to you. Because when you decide that its the right time, it might be to late. Seize the day. Never have regrets and most importantly, stay close to your friends because they have helped make you the person you are today. The ones we love are never gone because they live within our hearts forever. We miss you!!! Your friend for 45 years Dr. D (Donnie Stratton)

Please accept my deepest sympathy. I know what a wonderful man Dave was and it was an honor to know him. I became aquainted with him through his brother, David Young, and enjoyed sharing stories and spending holidays with him and his family shortly after I moved to Florida. God bless you and comfort you in your time of sorrow. He is in Heaven with Jesus now, so take comfort in the fact that we will all see him again. This world is only a stopping place to a better life. He lived his life fully and honorably.

Love in Christ,
