Heyward Moseley Obituary

Heyward Eugene Moseley 85, died on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006. He was a devoted husband to Martha Elaine Moseley, and proud father to Thomas A. Moseley, Bradenton, and Marilyn Moseley Woelk, Pittsford, N.Y. Mr. Moseley served in the 13th Air Force, in the South Pacific, during World War II, and also served during the Korean War, photomapping Alaska. He was a navigator for the first Hydrogen bomb test. As a Captain, he led the 55th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing M to recover Pan American's B377 aircraft, which disappeared over Latin America. Mr. Moseley retired as a salesman from Savon Furniture, in 1980. He is survived by his wife and children; his sisters, Bertie and Lorene Moseley; and grandchildren, Christine, Diane, Ryan, Benjamin, and Bethany. A memorial service is being held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 25, Westminster Towers Chapel, 1533 4th Ave. W., Bradenton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
