Robert Gorris
September 25, 1942 - March 11, 2022
Bradenton, Florida - Robert V. Gorris, 79, of Bradenton peacefully passed away with loved ones by his side on March 11th, 2022. He was born in Lincoln Park, MI and moved to Bradenton, FL in 1954. He attended Manatee High School and was in the class of 1961. He enlisted into the United States Air Force from 1961-1967. He was employed with GTE/Verizon until he retired. He was an owner of Oneco Florist for 10 years.
Bob was a beloved husband, caring, supportive father and grandfather along with a good friend to many. He loved working on projects, playing cards, fishing and watching old western movies.
He was preceded in death by wife, Uta M. (2004) of Bradenton; parents, Helen and Victor; brothers; Donald and Richard; sisters; Rita and Beatice.
Survivors include his daughter, Christine "Tina" Eubank (Gary) of Bradenton; son, Michael (Jennifer) of Bradenton; grandchildren; Morgen and Ericka Schmidt, Cody, Mya, Dalton and Angelena Gorris; along with his two sisters; Delores Runyen of Georgia and Mary Ann Kelly of Sarasota.
Services will be held at Griffith Cline Funeral Home, 720 Manatee Ave West from 10:30-11:30AM. Entombment will be at Manasota Memorial Park at Noon.
Memorial donations in his honor can be made to Tidewell Hospice Foundation.
