Edward Dooner Obituary
He was born Feb. 25, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late Edward and Rosemary Dooner.
He was a metallurgical engineer and owner/operator of Window Fashions by Rhonda in Hilton Head, S.C. from 1989 to 2012.
Surviving are his wife, Rhonda K. Pire Dooner; sons, Tim (Katrina), Dave, Rob (Megan); daughter, Kelly; grandchildren, Nate, Hugh, Mackenzie, Abbey, Kirstin, Gracelynn; great-grandchildren, Avia & Hunter; brothers, Ken (Anna) & Jack (Lisa Hanson, companion); sisters, Kathleen (Michael) and Mary Ellen.
Due to Covid-19, a service will be held at a later date in Hilton Head, S.C.
Arrangements by Burhans-Crouse Funeral Home, 28 Connellsville St, Dunbar, PA, 15431.
Contributions suggested to Excela Health Hospice and Palliative Care, 501 West Otterman St., Greensburg, PA 15601, in Ed's name, or your local chapter of the American Legion. Please share the care of our veterans.

It is with great sadness that I give my condolences to the Dooner family. Ed was such a kind and gentle man who was always ready with a kind word and a smile. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to have been his friend. What a great person he turned out to be, he will be missed.

Ed was a great football player and an a-one person at Holy Name High school.
I was his coach. He will be missed.

My deepest Sympathy goes out Rhonda, Tim, Dave, Rob, Kelly, and the entire Dooner Family. I graduated from "Dear old Holy Name" with Ed class of 74. Sometimes you hear about someone passing and it affects you more deeply some others. That's how it was when I heard about Doon's passing. He was always bigger then most of us but always treated everyone with dignity and respect. He was just one of the good guys and we were buds. I hadn't seen him in many years but feel a deep sense of sadness by his passing.
Rest in Heavenly Peace Doon.
