Keith Swanson Obituary
He was born Sept. 11, 1942, in Kane, a son of Roy and Alfretta McMichael Swanson. On June 7, 1969, in the United Methodist Church of Smethport, he married Maryon Painter, who survives.
Mr. Swanson was a 1960 graduate of Kane High School.
He served in the U.S. Navy, and worked as a lab technician at the former Quaker State Refinery, now International Waxes, of Farmers Valley, retiring in 2004.
Mr. Swanson was a member of the Hilltop Baptist Church in Gifford.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Wade Swanson and Sergei (Maria) Swanson, both of Bradford, and Tor (Rebecca) Swanson of Smethport; three grandchildren, Savannah, TJ, and Kaylee Swanson; one brother, Preston (Carol) Swanson of Ridgway; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Hilltop Baptist Church, Gifford. Funeral services will be held in church after visitation at 1:30 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Max Simms, pastor of the Hilltop Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Bridge View Cemetery, Mount Jewett.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hilltop Baptist Church of Gifford; or a charity of the donor's choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes Inc., Smethport.
