Kim Proper

1958 - 2023

Kim E. Proper, 65, of Onofrio Street, Bradford, passed away Sunday (Dec. 31, 2023) at Roswell Park in Buffalo, N.Y.
Born Nov. 16, 1958, in Meadville, she was a daughter of the late Wayne Hoffman, and Harriette (Coon) Hoffman, who survives in Meadville.
Kim was a 1976 graduate of Meadville Area High School, and she was a 1977 graduate of Southeastern Academy in Orlando, Fla.
On Oct. 7, 1978, in Emmanuel Church of Christ in Meadville, she married Frederick V. Proper, who survives.
Kim was employed as a senior bank teller at Northwest Savings Bank in Bradford for more than 10 years. She was formerly employed at National City, K-Mart, Eckerd Pharmacy and Emery Travel.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Zonta Club. She loved her grand dog, Hank Edward Williams.
Surviving in addition to her mother, Harriette, and her husband Fred, of 45 years, are one daughter, Yvonne (Leslie) Proper of Bradford; two exchange daughters, Jenny and Micheai; three brothers, Kenneth (Kimmy) Hoffman of Meadville, Kevin (Pam) Hoffman in Florida and Kurt (Jill) Hoffman of Conestoga; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday (Jan. 5, 2024) at Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 33 South Ave., and again Saturday (Jan. 6, 2024) from 10 to 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, where funeral services will immediately follow with the Rev. Rob Klouw, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Garden at the church.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Roswell Park Foundation, Zonta Club of Bradford, First Presbyterian Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
