Rose Warzecho Kozikowski

1923 - 2023

Rose Warzecho Kozikowski, age 99, passed away peacefully on Jan. 18, 2023, at Sheriden Woods in Bristol. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Joseph J. Kozikowski, who predeceased her on March 8, 2011. Rose was born on July 11, 1923 in Bristol, and was the daughter of the late Catherine and Joseph Warzecho. She attended local schools in Bristol. She married Joseph in 1949, and they celebrated 61 wonderful years together. Rose was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Rose lived her life simply, and some of her many joys included gardening, quilting, antiquing, music, and animals.
She baked prize-winning apple pies, and received numerous blue ribbons for her hand sewn quilts. She developed a passion for watching sports in her later years, especially UConn Women's Basketball. But most of all, it will be her loving devotion to her family that will forever be remembered.
Rose is survived by her three children: Donna Morocco, Richard Kozikowski, and Robert Kozikowski, along with his wife, Lisa. She also leaves behind a legacy of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; Michael Criniti, his son Jayden and daughter Ella Rose, Sarah Pandoursky, her husband Tzvetomir and her daughter Scarlett; Neil, Abbey, Ricky and Daniel Kozikowski. She was predeceased by her five siblings; Frank and Joseph Warzecho, Jennie MacDonald, Judie Pinkowish, and Alice Zeranski; and her daughter, Nancy Criniti.
The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Sheriden Woods, especially Cindy Petras, for her tireless efforts.
Per Rose's request, there are no calling hours and funeral services will be private.
