LEONARD FRANK "LEN" GLOOR

LEONARD GLOOR Obituary

Leonard Frank "Len" Gloor, 54, much-loved husband, father, brother, and friend passed away Jan. 11, 2013.

Len was born in Brownsville, Texas on March 29, 1958 to Alton and June Gloor.

He attended St. Joseph Academy and later received his bachelor degree from Southwest Texas State University.

Len was an avid sportsman with a love for the outdoors and enjoyed sharing his passion of hunting and fishing with relatives and friends, never missing the chance to share about "the big one" or "one that got away." Len had the habit of making friends wherever he went and through his family-owned business, Gloor Lumber, he became an important part of the Brownsville community.

He loved his family and friends deeply and will always be remembered for his good-humored nature and his giving heart.

Len is survived by his wife, Brenda S. Gloor; his mother, June Gloor; his two sons, Charles (Anessa) of Denton, Texas, and Dr. Brian Gloor of Spartanburg, S.C.; his twin brother, Les (Chris) Gloor of Brownsville, Texas; his sister, Ruth (Brandon) Jamail of Woodlands, Texas; his sister-in-law, Cathy Gloor of Brownsville, Texas; four cherished nieces, Ashley, Taylor, Chelsey, and Camryn, and numerous cousins and other extended family members.

Len is preceded in death by his father Alton and his older brother John.

Len's family would like to thank all the many family members and friends that surrounded them daily with love and support.

Your prayers, faith, and strength were what got us through each day.

A Celebration of Len's Life will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Jan. 14, 2013 at Rancho Viejo Convention Center, 1 Rancho Viejo Drive, Rancho Viejo, TX 78575.
