Of Lancaster, NY. Beloved husband of the late Marie (Scherer) and the late Theresa (Cammarano); loving father of David (Charlene) Distefano and JoAnn (Norman) Blatner; dearest grandfather of Anthony (Jodi) Blatner, Maria (Diego) Blatner-Valdivia and Philip (Yasmin Chau) Blatner. Family will receive relatives and friends at the WENDEL & LOECHER INC. FUNERAL HOME, 27 Aurora St., Lancaster, NY Friday from 3-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, 129 Laverack Ave., Lancaster, NY Saturday morning at 10am. Mr. DiStefano, or Pa-D as some of Dave's old buddies called him, was a friendly conversationalist and advice giver to all of us. Sharing pizza and a beer with him on the old breezeway of the house were happy and enlightening times thanks to him and "Ma-D". It was a pleasure to know him and pray he rests in peace.

This past summer I had the great pleasure of enjoying a meal with Tony. There is no doubt he had a special spark in his eye and loved his life! I was blessed to be in his presence and thankful to JoAnn and Norm for the hospitality. My deepest sympathy to the family of Tony Distefano.

Tony was an amazing person. He lived a life that always reflected the joy of life. Tony was always living his best moment. To meet him was to love, admire, and want to be around him even more. I think of Tony and smile. He was truly a reflection of God’s love.
