Of Tonawanda, entered into rest May 17, 2025. Jean was a devoted wife, loving aunt, and caring friend and neighbor. She joins her loving husband, Arthur Slowinski, in heaven. Beloved daughter of the late Peter and Sophie (nee Sendziak) Platek; dear sister of the late Felicia (late Anthony) Gibas, late Edmund (late Stella) Platek, late Eugene Platek, late Martha (late Walter) Kwasniewski, late John (late Emily) Platek and late Daniel (Theresa) Platek; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cherished friends and neighbors. Relatives and friends may visit the Lombardo Funeral Home (Northtowns Chapel), 885 Niagara Falls Blvd., (near Eggert/Sheridan), Amherst on Wednesday morning (5/21) at 8:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Amelia's Church, 2999 Eggert Rd., Tonawanda at 9:30 am. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Jean's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
