George GLEASON Obituary
Of Boston, NY, entered into rest on April 16, 2023 at his home with his family by his side at the age of 90. Beloved hus-band of 65 years to Jane (nee Roza) Gleason; loving father of John Gleason, Joel (Elizabeth), and the late Jay (Jane) Gleason; cherished grandfather of Laura, Danielle, Taylor, Bridget, Mollie, Jay, and Alexis; adored great-grandpa of Charlie, Elias, Joseph, River, Cora, and Ryan; son of the late Elizabeth (nee Krihovsky) and Wesley Root; dear brother of Billyann Rose, late John (Verna) Gleason, and the late Kathryn (late Robert) Root; also survived by nieces and nephews. The family will be present on Saturday from 1-5PM at the (Hamburg Chapel) JOHN J. KACZOR FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5453 Southwestern Blvd (Corner of Rogers Rd)., where closing prayers and military honors will begin at 4:30PM. George was a proud Army Veteran who served four years in the Korean War, three of which in Germany as a Tank Commander of the border. George was also a member of the American Legion Post #527, Amvets Post #219, VFW Post #1419, Hamburg Moose Lodge #992, and the Local #17 Operating Engineers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in George's name to the Hospice Foundation of WNY. A Celebration of George's Life will also be held in the Summer of 2023.
