Gerald BALDELLI Obituary
Of Lake View, NY, passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on December 30, 2020. Beloved husband of Marie R. (nee Sessa) Baldelli; loving father of Gerald Baldelli Jr., Carla (Robert) Williams, Mark (Nicole) Baldelli and Elizabeth Baldelli; cherished grandfather of Brendan, Marcus, Noah and Ciara; dearest brother of Neal (Marjorie) and the late Ronald (late Eleanor) Baldelli; also survived by a large loving family and many, many dear friends. Mr. Baldelli was a very accomplished coach, teacher, and administrator with the Frontier Schools, dedicated and active at St. John Paul II Parish, and received many awards and honors for all of his accolades. The family will be present to receive friends Saturday from 7-9 PM and Sunday from 12-7 PM at the (Hamburg Chapel) JOHN J. KACZOR FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5453 Southwestern Blvd. (corner of Rogers Rd., 646-5555). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 10 AM at St. John Paul II Church, 2052 Lakeview Rd., Lake View, NY 14085 (Please assemble at the church). Private Entombment at Lakeside Memorial Cemetery due to COVID restrictions. Capacity at the funeral home will also be monitored to comply with the most current regulations which may cause delayed entry. Masks or face coverings are also required for entry. A live stream webcast of Mr. Baldelli's Funeral Mass Monday morning can be found on the funeral home's website on Mr. Baldelli's memorial page. Flowers are gratefully declined. I was saddened to hear that Gerry had passed. He tolerated me as a disinterested senior in his Solid Geometry class, but loved my perfect drawings. After getting a degree in Social Studies I had the privilege to come back to Frontier as a teacher and work with Gerry as a colleague and administrator. He made a positive impact on the lives those of us who were part of the Frontier community.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the loss of such an exceptional principal and man. I was blessed to talk with Mr Baldelli at our 40th highschool reunion a few years ago and he remembered every student that ever walked through those doors. He believed in each and every single one of us. He always saw the best and motivated us to be our best. Please know that each of you are in my prayers as you navigate through this painful time. My deepest sympathy on the loss of your beloved husband and father. Gerry was a true educator in every sense of the word. He was my mentor, my colleague, and most importantly, my dear friend. He was loved and respected by everyone who knew him for his knowledge, his compassion, and his great sense of humor.

My deepest sympathy to the entire Baldelli family. Mr. Baldelli was a true gentleman in every sense of the word.
Always positive and encouraging to me as a young teacher he always made me feel comfortable and cared about. He observed me for my tenure and granted me a passing grade. I have him to thank for my teaching career at Frontier. His frequent conversations as he visited my classroom were always welcomed. He loved getting involved with children and you could always see the joy in his eyes. A retirement party, with Mr. Baldelli as the MC kept everyone on guard. He had a wonderful sense of humor that had everyone laughing. Those are just a few of my incredible memories.
I know your memories will give all of you comfort at this difficult time.

Our sincere sympathy . Mr. Baldelli was one of the greatest. Many great memories of our time at Frontier with him during our high school years and then after, he hired me to work at cloverbank. Seeing him walking down rt 5 always brought a smile to our face and running into him from time to time at jps and chatting for awhile was great. He will always be remembered. God bless.
