Not sure what to say?

I graduated with Roger and Paul in 67. I remember seeing your Mom many times, never speaking with her, but by her smile, warm laugh and gracious manner, knew instinctivly that she was a lovely person and a great Mom. All of these posted fond memories, testify that my instincts were correct. And now your Dad knew that he did not want to be away from her, so together they will shine down on you and your families. May your memories of your parents keep your heart and soul warm in the coming years.

Hattie was a lifelong friend of my mother, Phyllis. The Caz.' families/Thunderbay gang were blessed to have a mom as wonderful as Hattie.

One of my greatest treasures is having known Hattie and Howie. Their unspoken lessons in charity and good character have been a gift too many. Charles Palmer

Some of the dearest "mental movies" of my childhood are the times spent at the Strauss house with the "gang" of friends. Hattie's laugh was the soundtrack.

Hattie loved to sing. In a church choir, or at her kitchen sink. I know that I was blessed, to have her in my life, and now, so many memories.

On behalf of my Dad, Paul Weber, who knew Hattie from PS29 to SPHS and Caz Bap and my Mom, Harriet also...I convey deepest to Howie, Carol and the Boys. You had a true Christian Wife and Mother. Hattie showed us all how to live "thru the valley". The Holy Spirit outshined any frailties beset her. "well done, thou good and faithful servant".

Dear Strauss Family,
Unfortunately, I am in FL until Sunday, but I wanted to express my sincere condolences. I have so many special memories of your family's friendship with the Palmers. I shared many a dinner with Howie and Hattie, and to this day I smile at the memory of her unique, bubbly laugh. What a special lady.
Love, Marilyn Rochwarger (formerly Palmer) xxoo
