James Gold Obituary
July 26, 1942 - October 10, 2023
Peacefully entered into rest on Monday, October 10, 2023 at his home, he was 81. Born July 26, 1942 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, the first child of the late James E. and Clevia Mae (nee Shannon) Gold. Jim attended and graduated from Liberty High School in Bethlehem, PA in 1963. He went on to earn his doctorate degree from Penn State College. James worked for Buffalo State College from 1977-2022, where he was the Vice President of Student Affairs from 1977-1990. He met the former Molly Mullett in 1993 and married her in 2010 in Buffalo, New York. He and Molly loved to travel around the world especially Lucca, Tuscany, Italy. Besides his parents, James is predeceased by his sister-in-law Sharon Gold. James is survived by his beloved wife Molly Gold; loving children Pamela (Derek) Norton, Amy (Michael) Lesakowski, James Gold and Douglas (Amber) Gold; previously married to Diane Quigg Gold; dear step-son's, Christopher (Samantha) Flynn and Benjamin (Krista McTarnaghan) Gold; cherished grandchildren Alyssa, Julia, Liam, Samuel, Charles, Deya, Parker, Violet and Liam; caring siblings Richard (Carol) Gold and John Gold; also survived by nieces and nephews. Arrangements by the AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, November 4th at 3 PM at Buffalo State College, 1300 Elmwood Avenue in the Social Hall Student Union. Hey Molly, I still think of you and Jim. The first thing that comes to my mind is how much that man loves you. You two were a love story of your own.

I am sad that I have not seen Jim nor Molly for a long time, but they are often thought of with love. Jim and Molly were so in love. Jim helped me greatly for years. He and Molly were/are hard working, loving, kind, generous and spiritual people who I still consider friends. My prayers of peace, love and strength to move on are with you Molly. My prayers are also with Jim for blessings on his new journey. You are blessed with children and grandkids to keep Jim's memories with you, which in time will sooth your heart. You will be together again. I know that you know that. God bless you and your family.

Dear Molly
So Saddened to hear of Jim´s passing. I always loved spending time with you and Jim. He was so full of joy! We are not in town and unable to attend the celebration of Jim´s life. I will keep you and Jim in my thoughts and prayers.
