Bill: My wife and I just learned of the death of Joan - your wife and best friend. She was one of those people who helped my wife Joan come to enjoy our class reunions more than she enjoyed her own. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Dear Haws Family,
It is with great saddness that I write about Mrs. Haws today. I a deeply sorry to hear about her passing away. My father considered her to one of his very good friends and he passed away this week. I write this from myself and for Larry Raub. She was a beautiful women inside and out. Very kind, considerate and a great sense of humor! I remember her working with my dad on the Hamburg Rebulican Committee and driving us to and from swim practice. Those are just a few of the fond memories we have. May the love of family and freinds bring you peace and comfort during this difficult time. With sincere sympathy, Hillary Raub-Ruh and Larry Raub

Dear Bill and your wonderful Family! I am very saddened to know that you have lost such a wonderful Partner. I know she was the love of your life. You have my very deepest sympathies. God had so much wisdom giving us such an incredible brain that we can muddle through the terrible tragedies of losing loved ones and after living through our intolerable grief we mange to only remember the wonderful and loving times we had. We know that they never really leave us and that they are always with us in our hearts any time we need them. They watch over us from above and are waiting for us when it is time for us to meet them. I feel sure that that is the case with Joan. I'll keep you in my prayers and ask God to Bless you all. Sincerely Wendy Rothfus
(you may not remember me, I knew you from the Roundtable and Karl, and the "Bees" My Uncle Art knew you he and my Aunt Gerrie lived in Hamburg, He worked for Hallman-Adkins)

Dear Bill, I still think of Joan signing year books on the front lawn of Hamburg High and she was a vision of what every girl wanted to be, pretty, popular and surrounded by friends who wanted her autograph. Bill always enjoyed Joan and her quick wit.
she will be missed. June and Bill Pearl
