Of South Buffalo, at the age of 43. Son of Richard Thomas O'Connell & the late Michelle Ann (nee Petrusiw) O'Connell. Brother of Danelle, Patrick & Amanda (Matthew) Taylor. Uncle of Alicia, Paul, Jr., Morgan, Kyle, Max & Maeve. Life-Long Friend & Pal of Patrick (Michele) McCabe and family. "Dog-Dad" of Tipsey & Spice. Also survived by an aunt, uncles & cousins. Visitation Sunday 2-7 p.m. at NORMAN E. GANNON & SONS, Inc. FUNERAL HOME, 1075 Ridge Rd., Lackawanna (716-824-4000). Friends are invited to join the family for The Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Charity Parish "Holy Family Worship Site", 1901 South Park Ave., Monday at 9:30 a.m. Burial at Lakeside Memorial Park Cemetery will be private. Mr. O'Connell was a Deputy for the Erie County Sheriff's Department Jail Management Division. I didn't know Matt,but wanted to express my condolences to family on Matt passing. God bless Matt,s soul. Being from South buffalo myself and going to Timon.plus also working in the Sherriff Dept. jail,I felt a connection to Matt. RIP. Friend!
