My children were always amazed that I'd say: My favorite person in the world is Dr. Patterson. He delivered my first three children and was around when the fourth also appeared. This was in the sixties / early seventies. Bob and Pat made a huge and lasting impression on all who knew them, for their kindness and patience and tolerance. The world is diminished by Bob's death. My sincere sympathy, Ansie Baird

My deepest condolences to the Patterson family. Dr. Patterson brought both my older sister and me into this world >50 years ago. Thank you. I don't remember that day but our mom always referred to him as that wonderfully kind and gentle doctor.

There is not much more to say that has already been said about this wonderful, man who left quite an influence in his patients' lives. He always had time no matter what. It is a lost to us who he doctored as well as to you, the family. May God rest his soul-----he was God's angel here on earth.

My deepest sympathy to the entire Patterson family. Bob was truly one in a million. When it came to kindness and compassion, thoughtfulness and being there when you needed a friend, or somehow finding time to help you through difficult days - he was THERE. One of the most treasured things in my life will always be having known and worked for Dr. Patterson and knowing your wonderful mother, Pat, as well for many years. How fortunate we all were to have him in our lives. We loved him dearly.

There are not enough words to express what a wonderful physician and mentor Dr. Patterson was- kind, gentle, caring, compassionate....the world has not known a finer physician in my eyes. I feel such a void knowing he is gone, I cannot imagine how his family feels...my deepest sympathy for your loss.

Brian, Bruce, David and John, I was deeply saddened to see the passing of your father. He was a terrific man and great friend to our family. His skating rinks in your back yard in the winter, where a lot of us learned how to skate and play hockey is still a great memory. One of best and funniest memories was when when I was being driven downtown by my mother and there in the next car was your father in his Corvair using an electric shaver buzzing his head on the way to the hospital. His support was very valuable when both my parents were in the hospital at the end of their lives... Your parents were always considered family by all of us... My deepest sympathies...

It was a day of blessings when Dr. Patterson joined our staff at the Hospice Buffalo Free Standing Unit in Alden. His gentle, quiet manner soothed our patients; and his pastries soothed the staff! His helpfulness, understanding, and caring will long be remembered. Thank you for being part of my life, and thanks to his family for sharing this incredible man.

Dr. Patterson was truly a one of a kind, generous and caring doctor and a special man. Not only was he loved by his many patients and family, he was also loved by anyone who had the pleasure of just knowing him.
You and your family will always have a special place in our hearts. God Bless you always.

Dr.Patterson was the kindest, gentlest doctor I ever met. He delivered our twin sons in 1980. Years later, when my mom was in Hospice, he was like an angel comforting our family. We feel so very blessed to have known him.

I ran away from home every other night so I could stay over with Johnny. We were 5 years old.I would bring my winter pj"s and summer pj's just in case I stayed . (it was 90 outside) Dr. Patterson tucked me in at 7pm and carried me home (across the street) at 7:05 pm! Memories are so wonderful of Dr.Patterson !! Mrs. Patterson made the best grilled cheese sandwiches in the world! Kitty Cowan and I couldn't wait !What great memories!!Love to you all, Jeannie Blacher Rice

Between seeing the Doc walking Morris and Emily. and the yearly ice rink where I first skated, I have fond remembrances of those days gone by. Dr. Patterson was always a kind and thoughtful gentleman whenever I was visiting the Rankin home. Charley Keeler and I once visited him while he resided at the retirement location. Phil Spiesz
