Sigrid Gehrmann Obituary
April 6, 1935 - October 18, 2023
It is with great sadness that the family of Sigrid Gehrmann announce her passing on October 18, 2023 at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her husband Adolf Gehrmann. She will be lovingly remembered by her son Perry Gehrmann, daughter Karen Clapp (Gerald), grandchildren Ashli Maddux (David, and their children Hayes, Mavryk, and Rowe), Ellen Robertson (Greg), and Emily Clapp. Sigrid was born in Dusseldorf, Germany in 1935 and immigrated to the United States at 21. She loved being with her family, the outdoors, dancing at the Waldfest, and so much more. A celebration of life for family and friends will take place at a future date. In lieu of flowers, please raise a glass and toast in Sigrid's memory (Prost!).

My condolences to Sigrid's family. I'm saddened knowing that she has left us. I had the pleasure of working with Sigrid at the old Holiday Inn-Amherst. She and I formed an instant bond when I told her how much I had enjoyed studying the German language in school. Subsequently, we shared some great laughs every time she would correct my many grammar and vocabulary mistakes! I will always remember Sigrid as a wonderfully kind and cheerful lady with a great sense of humor. May she rest in peace.
