Dear Joyce, Sheila, Tony, and family -
My heartfelt condolences. Uncle Tim was always someone who stood for truth, integrity, and a strong sense of doing good (and with maybe just a bit of Irish blarney in there). When Sheila asked us all to send cards for his 80th birthday - I picked out a 'super-hero' card. He always did the kind of things that made this a better world. I remember when his brother Mike (Uncle Mike) passed away over 20 years ago -how he went down into Buffalo and sought out people who knew him - and collected stories of all the good things that he had done. I still remember those good stories of Uncle Mike until this day, that he read off at the eulogy. I remember being very impressed with him going the 'extra mile' for his brother. Uncle Tim did a lot of things for a lot of people, often without fanfare. This reflected his Franciscan spirit - which were a part of him from his Bishop Timon days. - Uncle Tim is an example to everyone - of a life well lived. It is up to each and every one of us - - to 'pay that forward' whenever we can!
