ALINE C. GODNICK

ALINE C. GODNICK QUEENSBURY, N.Y. - Aline C. Godnick, 79, died Aug. 28, 2010 at Glens Falls, N.Y. Hospital. She was born in Middlebury on July 17, 1931, daughter of Felix and Jeanne (Quesnel) Charron. She was a resident of Queensbury and Daytona Beach, Fla. and a former Rutland resident. Aline was a graduate of St. Mary's High School in Burlington. She attended the University of Vermont. Surviving are two sons, Brian Godnick and his wife, Cindy, of Rutland Town, Jeffrey Godnick and his wife, Debra, of Lake George N.Y.; four daughters, Deborah Hall and her husband, Robert, of Rutland, Sharon Carpenter and her husband, Michael, of Queensbury, N.Y., Cindy Seager of Rutland Town, and Terri Haggis and her husband, James, of Manchester, N.H.; a sister, Marie Peckenpaugh of Port Orange, Fla.; grandchildren, Leslie Carpenter Brunick, David Carpenter, Scott Carpenter, Matthew Seager, Michael Seager, Mark Seager, Michelle Seager, Karen Godnick, Brent Godnick, Joshua Garrow, Shirley Chisamore, Lory Piper, Jim Hall, Jeff Hall and Todd Hall. She was predeceased by her husband, Gilbert G. "Gilly" Godnick on May 21, 1990; brother, Maurice Charron; sister, Agnes Kitchell; and an infant son, Bruce. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Church in Rutland. A reception will follow and will be announced. Private burial will be held in Rutland Jewish Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Gilbert G. Godnick Scholarship Fund at either Mount St. Joseph Academy, 131 Convent Ave., Rutland, 05701 or Rutland High School, 22 Stratton Rd., Rutland, 05701. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland.
