Christine Boyd Obituary

Christine Frances Wright Boyd, 57, of Kennerdell, passed away after a courageous fight with cancer at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital on Wednesday evening, March 20, 2024, surrounded by her family.
Born on Aug. 15, 1966, in Meriden, Conn., she was the daughter of Robert Joseph Wright and the late Jean Evelyn Martin Wright. A graduate of Moniteau High School, she earned her associate degree from Computer Tech in Pittsburgh. She worked for 15 years as a case manager, most recently for Arctic Slope Regional Corporation in Boyers. She married Glenn Allen Boyd on Jan. 31, 1986, who survives.
Chris had a deep love for her family, especially her grandson, Ryver. She was kind, considerate and generous. Her family meant everything to her. She brought joy to those around her. She was a ray of sunshine to everyone around her. She enjoyed spending time with her dogs, and she loved Winnie the Pooh and family gatherings.
In addition to her husband, Allen, she is survived by two sons, Joseph (Amy) Boyd of Corsica and Matthew Boyd of Clarion; one grandson, Ryver Boyd of Corsica; her sister, Cheryl (Tim) Hughes of Hilliards; her brother, Michael (Marcia) Wright of East Brady; her uncles, Bill Martin of Rhode Island and Eugene (Mary) Wright of Bulls Gap, Tenn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandparents; mother-in-law; father-in-law; and stepfather, Wally Palmer.
BOYD - Friends of Christine Frances Wright Boyd, who died Wednesday, March 20, 2024, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at H. JACK BUZARD FUNERAL HOME, 201 S.
