David Fye Obituary
David was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dale Fye; and a sister, Jane Shaffer.
David is survived by his wife, Debra; stepdaughter, Samantha Matter (Rodney); stepson, Shawn Schmelzer (Vicki); four grandchildren, Michala and Tresa Matter and Jake and Luke Schmelzer; two sisters, Carol Wise (Larry) and Ruth Ann Webster (Terry); brother and sister-in-law, John and Suzanne Davis; nieces and nephews, Dan Wise (Carla), Sharon Engh (Don), Lauren Davis and Ryan Davis (Gabbi); and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
David was a longtime active member of Forestville United Methodist Church. David enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf. Some of his favorite times were spent traveling and spending time with family and friends. His most memorable trips were to Yellowstone National Park, relaxing on a houseboat in Dale Hollow, Tenn., his yearly getaway to North Myrtle Beach and the New England cruise. David retired from Walmart.
FYE - Family of David A. Fye, who died Wednesday, May 22, 2024, will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Forestville United Methodist Church, 124 Boyers Road, Forestville. Funeral services will take place at the church at 2 p.m. Sunday.
Burial will take place at Prairie Cemetery.
JAMISON MCKINLEY FUNERAL HOME, Harrisville, is assisting the family with arrangements.
The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Forestville United Methodist Church, Box 102, Forestville, PA 16035.
